Eduard Glaser visited Yemen four times between October, 1882 and Spring, 1894. His writing on the late Ottoman era in Yemen, written in German, reflects his personal observations of travel in rural areas. In 1884 he published an article in German on his trip through Arḥab and Ḥāshid. An English translation of this article is available for download on the AIYS website.
