Finding PDFs of Books on Yemen

Many Arabic texts, as well as books in Western languages, can be found online in pdf format; some are even available as open access. Finding specific books is not always simple, but there are several ways to try.

1. In a browser type in the name of the book and author in Arabic followed by "PDF" and you may find the source quickly.

2. One of the major online sources is archive.org, although many books are available there without the title or author indicated. do not give up if the "search" does not find your book. There are several online sources that often link to Arabic books on archive.org.  There are about 1,300 texts in various language if you simply search for "Yemen," if you have time to browse.

3. Two of the best sources for Arabic books on Yemen (as well as many other topics) are the Facebook sites المكتبة التاريخية اليمنية. and كتب تاريخ وآثار الجزيرة العربية .There is no index on either, so you will need to spend some time browsing, but new pdfs are uploaded all the time.
