In 1991 the AIYS Newsletter was renamed Yemen Update and reached 32 pages. The last few print issues, before the print edition ended in 2009, are available online in pdf. However earlier articles are not available. Yemen Update Redux will publish select articles and book reviews from the earlier issues. Already uploaded are articles by David Buchman on Yemeni Sufis, Dan Varisco on observations of baboons in a Yemeni restaurant and Steven Caton's review of the translation of Dammaj's novel The Hostage.
