If you have an interest in the traditional time-keeping of Yemen, this is a good Facebook Site to visit. The image above shows the annual round of the seasons, starting from the outside part of the circle with the zodiacal houses, then the solar months, then the days of the months, then the so-called 28 lunar stations (manāzil or anwā'), then the Yemeni agricultural marker stars, then the four seasons, then the local Yemeni seasons, then the equinoces and solstices. This is a scholarly rendition of the many local star calendars used over the years in Yemen. The major Yemeni scholar writing about this is Yaḥyā al-‘Ansī, who has published several books on the subject.
