Flagg Miller, President of AIYS, visited the Yemeni community in Dearborn for the celebration of Michigan's 33rd Commemoration of Yemeni Unification. He writes:
"A beautiful day for keeping Yemen in our hearts. We were grateful for a visit and speech by U.S. congresswoman Rachida Tlaib of Michigan's 12th congressional district!! Also the mayor of Hamtramck, the first Arab American in that position in history, Yemeni American Amer Ghaleb!
