The AIYS US Scholars Fellowship for Yemeni Studies is now accepting applications

The American Institute for Yemeni Studies is now accepting applications for the US Scholars Fellowship for Yemeni Studies.

This fellowship is open to US graduate and post-graduate scholars in all disciplines. Collaborative or group projects, including collaborations with Yemeni researchers, are also invited and encouraged. Although there is currently a travel ban for using AIYS fellowships for funds within Yemen, a project related to Yemen involving research outside of Yemen and the United States can be funded. For example, it would be possible access documents on Yemen in the archives of Great Britain or Yemeni manuscripts in a European library, interview members of the Yemeni diaspora, etc.. To learn about previous fellows and how they carried out their research, read the Council of American Overseas Research Center's spotlight article titled, 'Spotlight on the AIYS U.S. Scholars Fellowship'.

Projects are funded up to $5,000.

Deadline: February 13th, 2024 at 5:00pm ET.

This fellowship is funded by grants from the State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs
