LALORC project partners Collaborating entities include participating American Overseas Research Centers and their local partner networks, listed below; the Council of American Overseas Research Center and its Digital Library for International Research, and the Center for Research Libraries. American Overseas Research Centers participating in the Local Libraries and Archives Project are located in the Mediterranean basin; the Middle East and North Africa; West Africa; South, Southeast, and Inner Asia; and Latin America. CAORC member centers located in Europe are not participating in this project because research resources available in their host countries are already very well documented. As the project work is initiated in each country, we will add a description of the local project and the names of collaborating local institutions, keyed to the alphabetical list of centers immediately below. Cambodia AORC: Center for Khmer Studies (CKS), Siem Reap, Cambodia Project: Survey of holdings and selective digitization of materials in the National Library Partner: The National Library of Cambodia, with technical assistance provided by KhmerDev Iraq AORC: The American Academic Research Institute in Iraq (TAARII), currently located in Amman, Jordan Project: Survey of Iraqi-published journals in various scientific fields Israel AORC: W.F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research (AIAR), Jerusalem, Israel Project: Survey of libraries in Jerusalem Partner: AIAR will correlate its project with the complementary project of the Palestinian American Research Center (PARC) Mexico AORC: Mexico-North Research Network Project: Digitization, with appropriate metadata, of field recordings of Mexico's indigenous languages.
