- F-LANG: Foreign Language Materials Database
-

- Document Delivery Services
-
Bibliographic access to the centers' resources is the first goal of the
DLIR program, but it also encompasses a plan to extend the great value of
this bibliographic access by providing, on a limited and experimental basis,
document delivery over the internet for some of the most important resources
themselves (full-text, images, sounds). These services as a whole are not
intended to provide document delivery of mainstream contemporary western
publications that are held in U.S. libraries, but rather are meant to provide
access to the more unique materials held in or accessible to the AORC libraries.
Under this rubric CAORC formulated and received funding from UNESCO to work
with the West African Research Center (Senegal) on a project to create the
on-line African Language Materials Archive (ALMA), which forms part of DLIR's
F-LANG component.
